Stuck in a predicament (Flexis)

Spoke to a welder today, he's told me £300 labour to have the manifold off and £150 to weld new flexis on.

Do I buy a second hand full system (manifold, flexis, cat) for £225 and then the £300 labour, go with the option above or buy an aftermarket?

What would you do?

Manifold off was roughly an hours work for me and a friend, it's really not too hard. That sounds like a lot of labour charges. The flexis are about £50 for the pair and welding them on doesn't take too long either, I'd be looking for another quote.

Do the fitting work you'rself. And if I was welding in a fleck if feel cheeky for charging more than £30 for just the welding
