Stupid head unit thingy wotsit

Connections on the back will be ISO so it should plug straight in, but you may need a direct feed to the battery.

You will need the stalk and display adapaters if you want to keep these features working.

I have the same head unit.

It is a straight swap.

What extra wires are you referring to?

No connection to the battery is required.

Good choice of head unit b.t.w. It's quality.

Wow, its a self powering HU, no wonder its so expensive :clown: ;)

its supposed to be wired directly to the battery or they recommend it is due to the 4 x 60w output.

Yeah, 240w at 12V = 20 amps so pretty hefty load for the standard dash wiring which iirc is 15A rated maximum.

120w at 12v = 20A @ 50% efficency(sp);)

yep they use a dc-dc converter to up the voltage to 17.2v which pulls more current than the standard wiring can take safely
