Okay at the risk of making myself look like an idiot ..What are the wires underneath the seat of driver and passenger? I was looking at replacing my interior and noticed them, Will i have to get specific interiors or can i still fit any clio interior into my rxe? Thanks.

they probably belong to the airbag wiring, and yes any mk1 mk2 interior should fit. although there may be probs with the airbag connections under the seats, which you may have to butcher in some way, as im not sure if they differ from model to model.

ah cheers, i figured it maybe airbag, just didnt see why the passenger seat had one as wasnt aware there was a passenger airbag. Does it matter if i get seats with or without airbags in them. cheers

There are seatbelts pre-tensioners too in the seats, in case of accident the belt latch retracts.
If you don't have the airbag light on you should detatch the battery for an hour or so, then put a resistance (not sure about W or ohm) where the wires connect to the seats.
