Stupid questions from a polishing novice

Hi guys Im after soon advice. What is the best way to get my 182 looking its best? I have seen something called a pc polisher mentioned on here, first off what is it?
Is it easy to use for a novice?
What products would you recomend to use?

Is there any one I can hire to do it for me (if I get really lazy)

The PC is a Porter Cable Random Orbit Polishing machine.

mate, the pc is a cracking machine, i really couldnt be without one now, and its paid for itself many times over what with doing other peoples cars etc, and they are relatively safe for a begginer to use as long as you ask a bit of advice and do a bit of reading up, you will achieve results with a pc that you couldnt by hand, recently i did this G60, and the bonnet went from this
