Sub Not working

Hi guys

Sub has been installed by previous owner.
Sub has been working fine for past 6 months!
This morning, discovered my sub wasn't working.

Checked fuse, wiring, head unit settings etc
Nothing has changed since yesterday when it was working fine.

Earlier this morning when i discovered the sub wasn't working, there was a slight crackly sound in the sub when bass should have been present. But now there is just nothing from the sub!

Amp is fine, powered up etc but no sound from the sub.


Any other things i should check before i go sub shopping ? lol

Connectors on the sub itself, take it out the box and have a look.

They seem to be fine, no different from when they were working.

Is the amp getting power?

You havent got a bad earth have you?

If you can, take the sub indoors and just hook it upto a stereo for a few seconds too see if any sound comes out, eliminate the sub then.

Just checked the garage, must have thrown away my hifi!

My sub had gone! so got a new one!

Just installed new one today, music just sounds so much better with a sub!
