SUB WIRING

  2001 Clio 1.2
I have a Mk2 ph2 clio and have an active sub and need to know the best way to lay the power and signal cable and where to bolt the ground to?
Cheers,
Joe

Hello bud, first things first are you using an aftermarket head unit? if so it will be a doddle to wire up, firstly run the amp power cable down the passenger side of the car, and run the remote and phono/rca cables down driver side, around the boot there should be maybe a couple of metal hooks for strapping stuff down unbolt these and earth behind them, finally connect the power cable up to battery but without the fuse in it, then once you've made sure everythings connected, put the fuse in and fire it up

  Clio 172 ph1.
there should be a little gromet in the passanger footwell to push the power cable through as well. :)

  soon to be 182 ;)
for the ground i lifted up back seats and there are some small bits with holes in, sand off paint and put a small bolt through, job done :) as for positive run don left hand side of the car and rca/ remote down other side undert trim to head unit. the positive is the hardest to get through the fire wall, but either drill a hole, or as i did run it out of the door and through the panel gap into engine bay

Power lead feed through the bonnet release cable grommet. Earth use isofix bar or seatbelt buckle mounting points.

When you say bonnet release mines not really a gromit i dont think mines a gromit its been wired and sealed up the bonnet cable release :/. i see these 3 circles(hard plastic and a little bigger than a 2 pound piece) when i lie on my back in the passenger footwell are these temperary gromits that need to be replaced by rubber ones?.
