Subaru Impreza 22B...

I thought my car was expensive for bits! :o That must cost a bomb to insure even before points/claims!

Nice! Must be a f**king hoot to drive. Love the front and back wings!

Car Planet near where I used to live had two in car bubbles in their showroom. JDM cars but one only had 2,000km's on it. Drool.

That one in Hong Kong was like that. Obviously a collector! £100,000... hmmm!

Rare cars always suffer, they get stolen to order.

The S401 STi I mentioned could not be insured without a tracker.

Never quite got that. Unless they are shipped abroad it is not as if you could drive it around. Or are they stolen to order and broken for parts? Even so, on such a rare car, it wouldn't be hard to find it?

I can imagine breaking for parts quite easily if that's the prices!

My uncle had one back in 98/99. He spent a fortune on mods all done at prodrive...iirc it was about 350/400bhp which was awesome over 10 years ago...he then moved on to 'grown up cars like amg mercs but he has always regretted selling it...reg was T22 BUK

legendary cars, one of the best ever made. shame to see it like that. even now the 22B goes for 20k mark, unbelieavle really for a S plate

Didnt know these were soo rare, i knew they were un common but not this rare. There is one that lives in my town somewhere, see the owner out in it all the time.

Saw one once. Didn't realise they were quite that rare! Part costs are still nothing compared to an NSX though ;)

Only time I ever saw one of these was when Prince Naseem Hamed was driving his through Sheffield back in '99

Looked epic back then

Can anyone find anymore for sale? Recent ones in 2011?

Kinda struggling a little. That one Ian posted is the only i've seen the rest are from years ago.

How does the p1 compare to the 22b? Or is it no comparison? I could probably get a p1, 22b would be very unlikley though

[h=4]22B Type UK (1998)[/h]16 of the 'export' 22Bs (see above) were modified by Prodrive, with longer gear ratios, UK specification lights and an official 3 year warranty. Because 50 22Bs had already been imported privately into the UK, Subaru UK had to wait until 1999 to register the 22B Type UKs under the VCA's Single Vehicle Approval scheme. The price was £39,950, approximately the same price that grey import 22Bs were being sold for.

Thought we had something to do with that. Remember them saying on my induction.

Bit of an ofFENCE to see it in such a state, though.

Spoke to the owner today for a bit. That's the 2nd time he's driven it in a year.

Hopefully get a decent settlement sorted for him.
