Subframe query

I have just bought a non sport steering rack (unsure of model)
I need to fit this in a 172 but do the clio range all share the same subframe?
At a quick glance the mounts look as if they could have diffrent spacings then what I require.
I will try to add pics this evening as im on my phone.

Wrong. 172 Cup's have a different subframe, different lower arm mounting points.

So in theory any rack from any clio should mount on any subframe from a clio?
Was unsure if Renault used the same subframe for both sport and non sport models

Unsure of the difference between sport and non-sport cars I'm afraid. Do you know what steering rack you have?

I dont no, I got it from Renparts but in fairness to them when I ordered it I didnt have a reg number.
As I am after a non powersteering rack for a 172.
I read that a non sport rack should fit?

A non sport rack should fit but you will have to swap your track rods and ends over I would think, you will know when you lay them side by side. The 1.2 racks mount with 2 bolts and sports mount with 4 iirc
