Sum advice plz

ok here goes ,

ive owned my 172 cup for nearly 3 years ,i bought it on an options scheme ,it has 22k on the clock is mint condition

today i phoned my local renault dealers to enquire about the clio trophy ,i was told the list price is £15500 .

when i asked about a trade in for the cup which will have £4100 outstanding credit he said he would give me £5000 for it and the price of the trophy would be £13988 ..

wouldnt see that as a good deal personally more of a complete rip off.

what sort of money would i get for my cup selling private or would i be wise to accept this offer ????

try another dealer, you will get more privately if u can find a buyer

you could get around 6-6.5k if you sold it private

People on here always downvalue all the cars and I have no idea why!!! Private, these are going into trader for 7.5k, so expect 7-7.3...

But dont forget if you are going to sell the car privately youll have to pay off the existing finance owed on the car.

Very true. If you dont pay it off before the sale date, itll show up on the HPI check as well...

thanks for the replys guys , i kinda thought the going rate for a good low mileage cup 52 plate must be around 7k

and yes i do no that i have to pay the remaining finance before i could sell

ill place an add in the window for a few weeks see if i get any takers

Remember though that selling a specialist car (which an RS kinda is) will always take longer. there are more buyers for bog standard stuff so it can take a while. Dont panic and drop 500 quid off if it hasnt shifted within a week, cos it wont!

Was the option scheme provided by renault, as they generally have a guaranteed value at the end of the loan period
