Sunroof leak

I know there threads about this I have tried everything new window screen re-seal of sun roof any body in north west can help me or send me in the right direction on getting this problem fixed.

I live in woolson at the moment I taken it to be fixed at booths and sons and they re did it but as you can see same problem.

I just poped over and the guy said It must be my window screen he said check my Insurance and and smash it and get a new one then it will be re sealed

God knows lol

It's top left and right corners where the head lining stops I'm going to get some water and poor it down the drain away see what happens

Right I'm completely baffled I have got the hose out and checked the sun roof, drain away and window screen. I have no clue where it's getting in. :s

I have cleaned up all the seals so see if it was the seals, won't have to wait long for the rain this summer just wait a hour or so lol

If its damp behind the sun visors etc, it is usually the foam seal that sits between the sun roof frame and the body work of the car, not the rubber seal that the glass sits on.

The foam seal deteriorates on the corners over time and leaks, a genuine Renault one is about £40 and a couple of hours work to fit it.

Sack foam get something on it that lasts remove your sun roof clean up the area get rid of all the old foam and wack a load of silicone around it and re seat your sun roof jobs a good en permenant fix

It's bin re sealed that's what I don't get unless they did a bad job.

dont use mastic you use a mastic on a roll renault sell it.

No idea it was from a tube and it's a dark gray colour, I'm starting to think they did a bad job now.

Is it like a silicone kind of texture (the stuff that seals around baths and showers and sinks and what not to tiles)

I can't see the windscreen leaking to be fair (someone tell me otherwise) but I would say its your sunroof mate especially with how far back it goes!

I'm very much interested mate as winter is coming and I don't wanna defrost my car inside and out.

LOL Yeh mate just try and stop any more water getting just in case it encourages mould growth (yuck!)

Yeah was tipping it down. I drove past a woman pushing a pram and some guy in a 4x4 went threw a puddle and spayed them.

I taken head lining down a bit and it seemed to be really wet here

Yeah it does mate, the handle u lift and it let's a little bit of air in.
