Just so I know I'm on the right lines here, the point of this and ITB's is because the inlet tract of the air coming into the engine is a lot shorter, and a lot more direct compared the the standard intake (which has loads of 90 degree bends in all directions) which means the air is smoother going into the engine?
Also, will this be the kind of product that could be DIY fitted, then the car taken to somewhere like RSTuning to get it mapped up to suit? Or is it going to be pretty specialist in order to get it fitted and running?

Basically yes........the inlet tract is now void of disruptions.
And fitting can be DIY yes....its tight....very tight as every spare mm of space is used, but if your willing then anybody could do it. It will probably require bumper and slam panel off though as bolting it up will be a long winded process.
And if your a big guy...have a small friend handy.

Any where I can find a bit more info about it, the inlet teact i mean, my google searches arent returning much.
So a steady weekends work?
Possible mod for the future as the not gonna sell the car now, I'll see the kind of gains and driveability people get

Info about what? Our manifold? Nowhere, we havent released it yet.
If your talking about general engine theory......info is everywhere, depends how bothered you are to read seriously boring stuff.
Fitting for myself would be about an hour....dunno about others.

I mean general information about the benefits of this type of set up compared to the standard intake, I know you havent released much about this particular one yet.
An hour, may as well be fitted by you then haha if I decide to go ahead with one.
I take it cams would compliment well at a later stage also?
Would it be a removable mod come sale time, i.e fit standard parts then map to standard again, or will it be a big job to get the car right again as far as fitting old parts?

Its designed as a bolt on and go setup, so retrofitting back to stock is as easy as swapping parts.
As for general information on induction systems..........people write books on the subject, so even a brief explanation wont cover much.
But in laymans, fluid (air) likes to move in straight lines.....if you want to keep it efficient. Curves, direction changes, CSA (cross sectional area) changes, runner entries etc all require energy. Energy lost in the induction sequence = lower VE or cylinder filling efficiency = weaker bang = less power. All we are trying to do is to reduce the required amount of effort to get as much air as we can into the cylinder during an elapsed timeframe.

slap me down if being stupid but once fitted how would the car drive prior to remap, ie will it make it from sheffield to leeds?

I dont really know just how bad or good it'll drive without a remap, its never been tried.

Why not just fit it wherever its getting mapped, isnt going to take major tools or anything

Do you have mapping facilities at yours (assuming this is where fitting will take place) so it could potentially be a drive in standard drive out modded car within a few hours?
Or will a trip to RSTuning be mandatory?

What about us that live on another country? How would I map my car? If someone can provide a calibration to upload with rstuner could do the trick, I know it will be at a cost, otherwise we would be put aside this product

When buying Henk's RStunerPro; you will be able to send him the recording (map) you have done with the new manifold on so he can see what's happenin and tune your car .. Contact Henk about this, he'll definately help you out
I do have an RSTuner already, though not the Pro. I have sent Henk a note, lets see what he says!!!=D
I dont know how well that will go without full wideband logging. And i'm not sure how well the ignition map will go via remote mapping as the VE curve will be significantly different to anything else running on a stock injection system. Which means an investment into logging equipment for the user £££££.

I just wanted to ask about this "rizla" comment, I obviously don't have any information as to how you are packaging the product. But I would like to ask which components its struggling to clear? As obviously the engine is on flexible mounts, especially with this being a problem in some Clios, where the exhaust can foul as a result of engine movement. I assume there is sufficient clearance around the rad/fan setup and any other components not solidly mounted to the engine?
Also I know how much CFD work goes into airflow behind the radiator by manufacturers to ensure there are no cooling issues, this can only become a bigger challenge when dealing with a 2.0l in a small engine bay.
I’m not questioning you guys at all and think that the kit you’re developing is very exciting, but just want to be sure that track goers who’s engines work very hard and move around a lot on std mounts don’t get any troubles.
