Supercharger conversion for a 172?

Ive seen turbo conversions but not superchargers, any reason for this?

Dont think anyone does a kit, but you could buy a supercharger, have some brackets fabricated, pop some bigger injectors in, change the pistons and have the ECU mapped or replaced with an aftermarket one.
Wont be cheep tho.

a company came on here a few months back advertisong superchargers for the rs clio's think they are developing them currently,

wrc tech or something, there based at silverstone iirc

Thats more bang for bucks than ITB's, cams and crap loads of work and cheeper than a turbo.

Wallet would need to recover from its recent owning tho, new poxy engine, new everything else blah blah poxy renault

220hp is the limit though or so for not going to chnage the pistosn chnaging pistons and the price climbs pistons alone are £400 ish then there fitment.

There was a germna compnay advertising them 240hp they said but £5k asking price.

The problem is you need to chnage the clutch as well realy and then the bx ins't that stong.

They'd be ok. The biggest killers on them rpm not load realy.
