Suspension Knock!Help!

When i drive my car when its cold (the car that is) i get a really bad knocking sound over bumps in the road like drains and stuff, ive had new brakes and all new suspension (shocks & springs) but still does it.it sounds more like a vertical knock could it be the top suspension mounts as its quite noticeable now!

ooops forgot to say its a mk1 phase 3 1.4, yes it does benji&eka!!!Your correct, why do you say that?please tell me you no what it is!!!

Have you checked the anti roll bar bushes/drop links (i think thats what they are called) mines snapped and it used to do something similar but not just in the cold

now gonna have to find out where the hell that part is *refers to mr haynes*!these connect to the steering?
hmmmmmm if they do this sounds very similar to what sort of noise it makes how much did it cost if you dont mind?

drop links are about £3 each iirc (check out ECP)if you go under neath the front of the car where the front wishbone joins the anti roll bar there is a little bar this is the drop link if thats what its called and these are prone to snapping as mines did - worthwhile changing both tho, Fred reckons its a b**ch of a job on a mk2 not sure about a mk1 tho

Its like something is loose and banging on every bump and if you accidentally wheelspin you'll hear it more

Easy to chnage on the Mk1's just a bit of patiance and a good small G clamp needed.
