If i ever come to the point that i decide i want to buy a set of coilovers, What are the disadvantages besides things like tyre wear and camber.. what other things should i be aware of!?

You sound like my dad haha. Properly adjusted and fitted Coilovers won't change your camber and won't wear your tyres down more..

All depends on which coilovers you buy. In most cases the ride quality won't be as good.

Poor ride quality and generally they don't last as long as OEM stuff. Proper coilovers will need rebuilds rather then replacing when they wear.
