Suspension, what do i need????

Ive got 40mm lowering springs on at the moment and want to put 60mm springs on. Ive heard that the shocks can get damaged by doing this so do i need to change dampers etc.??

How much would i be looking at for dampers? ive got the springs but i just wondered what other parts might need changing to help prevent damage to the standard shocks

Actually you can get it all a fair bit cheaper, for the sports its like nearly £400 for dampers.
