Suspension

  Clio Dynamique 1.6 16v
Hello,

Just been on the k-tech website having a look at there suspension. Does anyone have pics of a clio dynamique lowered before and after so I know what it will look like please?

Also not sure whether to drop my car by 20mm with just springs off k-tec, or buy the 30m drop spax set with the dampers, any advice? Added to this what benefits do you get by getting new dampers when dropping your car? I imagine it will result in not as hard a ride?

Cheers

Nice, how much is that lowered by 30mm? Did you get the dampers aswell, I am in two minds about getting dampers aswell....also the sport wheels look sweet how much did they cost, your clio looks real smart.

Cheers

thanks mate!

its lowered 35mm just on springs dont - really need dampers

My mate is a renault tech at my local garage so he fitted them for me - also gets me good discounts on stuff so the wheels are brand new with brand new tyres and cost me about 550 quid all in

Ah rite nice, that looks like a good drop, because I don't want mine lowered too much just enough to improve handling etc... What else have you got done to your clio. I got a 57i on mine with cold air feed. I don't think it changes performance, but it does sound nice! Was looking at getting mine chipped etc but dunno if it is worth it, hence why I think lowering my car is best bet as it means taking the twistys is more fun!

Cheers

Ah rite nice. Well cheers for the help mate, think i'l purchase some springs now and get my clio lowered....and 1 other question, do you find your clio hits the rev limiter earlier in 1st than any of the other gears?

  Clio Dynamique 1.6 16v
About the same, I just noticed it is less than the rev range in other gears. Had the car about 6 months now, I am really please with it. Had a 1.0 polo before, so the power difference is really noticeable. Cheers for the help with the springs.

I got a 1.6, so it is is lower than the 1.2s standard anways, so mine would like more like timmays lowered. What sort of kit would you suggest then? Been looking at the Ultimate and Spax kits on k-tec.

Cheers Tom

Apex i'd recomend a full kit is great value.
But the best is coilovers there a set for sale on the foum £250 I think much better value.

The 1.6 has sports supsension but its not that sporty anyway.

don't be gay, slam your car 100mm today! (my new slogan ;))
I don't recon your cars a real 100mm. Anyway Fred you should lower yours more its looking a bit common now.
Anyway stock setups the way forward no more back pains for me. Plus I can drive over badgers without worrying about it wrecking my bumper.
