Swap 172 for 182

I recently bought myself a rather tidy IMO clio 172 in may this year after upgrading from a 1.2 dynamique. Every time I look at the 182's now I wish to myself that I had got one of them instead. Possibly a stupid question but has anyone swapped a clio 172 for a 182 straight swap? Where no cash is concerned as I'd be looking to do that with mine

You maybe able to swap your low mileage mint 172 for a high mileage 182 , doesn't normally happen though !

Personally I wouldn't bother! I've had both and there's not really any difference that makes it worth swapping , if you have a good 172 keep with it !

Im assuming your 172 is a phase 2 ofc if its a phase 1 there's a obvious difference and you'd be mad to swap it to a 182 for most people anyway lol

what is it that makes you want a 182 so much? The exhaust tips ?

I must admit the exhaust is a nice touch that does draw me to the 182's. I'd debated getting one out on my 172 but the cost looked quite big so thought swapping it would be worth a shot

Take into consideration that as said , you know your 172 , and you may buy a 182 on your budget that would need a lot of money , I don't really think its a good idea but you can buy a 182 style exhaust from k-tec and then you have all the benefits without a lot of cost, get a 182 manifold and decat , you'll be glad you never wasted your money !

Largely pointless if your 172 is sound enough, they dont exactly make alot more power than 172's anyway.

I wouldnt bother, they arent that differant. for the same money you will have a higher milage, scruffy 182.

If your a phase 2 172 it will seem like the same car, and if its a phase 1 you have, i think you will be going backwards.

No their exhaust design means you don't have to touch the spare wheel well
