swap 172 steering wheel for 197 one??

looking for a new steering wheel as my grip have split. would a 197 wheel fit with the 172 airbag?? or would i need the wheel and 197 airbag??

Pretty sure you'd need the wheel and air bag. Not sure if the wheel is a straight fit on the car, but the wheel won't fit onto your air bag.

I would love to do this as well but mine is a 1.2 ph2 so not sure about the wiring

You'll need the whole wheel and airbag assembly.
The 172/182 airbag fires off different wires to the 197 so it will need to be altered to suit.
Similar thing with the cruise control switches.
They do look a lot better though and I'm thinking of doing it myself as my wheel has started to melt.
