Swapping 172 wheel for 182 wheel, questions!

Morning all

My mate also has a 172 and his wheel is f*cked as it's melted and thumbgrips have gone.

He's got a 182 wheel ready to fit and I've had a look at the guide in the guides section.

Might seem like a stoooopid question, but why do you have to remove the airbag if the new wheel already has an airbag? Cant you just do a straight swap over without changing the airbag?

Or does the airbag have to be removed for the wheel to come off?

Also, will the stalk controls still work and does it matter than the new wheel has cruise control buttons.

or if he took the tumbgrips off the 182 wheel would they fir directly onto the 172 wheel?

You need to take the airbag off to get to the bolt in the centre of the wheel.

You can use the airbag with controls or just use your old airbag

Guess I'll just use the existing airbag.

Also, how easy is it to take the silver renaultsport logo off the 172 wheel and fit it to the new 182 wheel?

Ive never done it but it should be easy,its just glued on
