Swapping head unit and heater controls

Just wondered if its possible to swap the position of the head unit and the heater controls in a mk1 clio. Its just I think the head unit is in a stupid place to say I use its controlls quite a lot. But I hardly ever alter my heater, so just wondered if they could be swapped over with little or no alteration?

sounds like alot of hassle

the air distribution knob usually connects to a series of rods to change the air flow as does the hot/cold knob

fan control would be easy.

Bugger, was hoping it was all electrical, will take a look in the summer when I am back home.
