Tailgate Gas STruts?

Mine hold up the boot (atleast that's step one taken care of)
But they don't do it very well, they need helping all the way up and seem really weak, is this normal?
And does anyone know of any higher power ones that will fit our cars?

My normal ones are fine, prob just need replacing.
