Tailgate solenoid/lock

Got a 54 plate 182 and I need a new tailgate lock/solenoid. Does anyone know how much these are new (if we can even get them new)?

Prices second hand seem to be from £15 to £30, if new ones aren't too expensive I'd rather buy new.

Am I correct in thinking this part will bolt straight onto the rest of the unit and repair it?

Get a universal solenoid kit off ebay. Ul find a strong enough one for under 20 quid. Ballache wiring it up the inside of the tailgate though, oh and ul have to refit the lock catch on the tailgate side to upside down as these solenoids pull instead of pushing. Ul see what a mean when u come to fit it

You could use that to repair the lock.
Just so you know new from reno its £45.60(the whole lot)
