Disconnect the battery for 30 mins to be sure - make sure you know your radio code if it needs one

There is a gude on here if you do a search in the technical section!

You will also need a large size Torx bit to remove the central bolt holding the wheel on. Most people don't have one this big in their toolkits so you may want to make sure you have the right size first.

Also make sure you have the steering wheel perfectly straight before you take it off as it will make locating the new one in the right position so much easier!

I cant remember but it was in my halfords 60piece professional toolkit. As for locating the wheel straight you dont need to as the splines arent uniform so the wheel will only fit on in one position.

I'd undo the bolt a few turns but not remove it, then give the wheel a tug. People seem to have a habit of hitting themselves in the face when they have to pull hard and it comes off unexpectedly.

to remove the airbag, you need to shove like a screwdriver intot the holes located at the back of the steering wheel, as their are some metal clips holding airbag in place, flick these off and out pops the airbag

Hello???!!! Mcfly!!!!

Read my post!

I fitted mine using one of the ones supplied in an off the shelf 60piece professional socket set and they do a wider range of sizes individually so he'll have no problems. If i could be bothered to take my wheel off i'd tell him the exact size.
