Taking it's time to warm up in the morning... - RESOLVED

I've recently done a full coolant flush and change and replaced the thermostat. However, first thing in the morning, take today for example:

- It took around half an hour to warm fully up to temperature.
- It stuck on the 4th bar up for a bit, then went to 5th, then back to 4th and stayed between the two for a bit.
- Got pissed off so opened it up a bit (after 30 minutes driving) then it went above 5th and slowly got up to temperature.

On the way home :

Got up to temperature completely fine from a cold start.

It's usually warmed up within 10 minutes of driving so not sure what's going on! Any ideas?

Cooling system now working properly? Mine takes a while. Perhaps dodgy Thermostat?

It seems fine. I got the thermostat new last week from GSF and I've used one before from there which worked fine. Not sure!

I had to file down the outside edge of one once as it was totally wrong. Utter crap.

Get one from one of the dealers off here then. I get great discount at my local dealers.

The people that work in my local (where I worked for 7 fcuking years!!) have been told not to give me any discount. At all.

Just thought I'd update this - fitted a new genuine Renault thermostat and that sorted the problem. Runs perfectly now :approve:
