Taking the stripes off an RB

Anyone had past knowledge about taking the stripes off? Not sure how long they have been on, if the marks could be polished out? Don't really want to pay for a respray if not thanks

No personal experience, but I'd say they have been on there since new, unless someone had them removed and then re-applied (which I doubt).

The glue residue should come of with a good clean and polish, but there may be a slight colour difference in the paint due to fade from the sun...

I had stripes on my old 172 and for the exact fears you have, I left them on.

Rather actual stripes than ex-post-van stripes, or keying.

if they're the twin offset stripes though, on an RB, I'd leave them anyway
