Tapping Sound? (182)

for a while ive noticed a "tapping" sound on tickover... has a little listen this morning and its more prominent around the drivers side front wheel. its not major tapping, but you can hear it!

the car is running well, with no faults, just this tapping!!

should I be worried? anyone else had/got same?

oh and its more when the engine is up to temperature, dont hear it when its cold.

i get this sometimes... im not sure wot it is either tbh :-S when did u have ur last service/oil change?

They all do it, solenoid on the charcoal cannister.

Only does it on low revs, tick, tick ,tick sounds like a bingo machine.

its 100% the cannister, i unplugged mine and it stopped, happy days!. mine sounded w**k they only get louder with age lol

it'll blow up...... nah, its just brought on the emmissions light but runs fine. It only stops fuel vapours espacing into the atmoshere (pollution etc) it just dumps them into the inlet whilst on idle and cruise. I will get it replaced eventually, its the solinoid that gets noisy
