Taskbar being ghey

I don't know why but when I press an item on my taskbar in windows e.g. have firefox maximised and want to get msn up by pressing it in the taskbar, instead of it popping up like it's surposed to it just sits there flickering orange and blue! It's really getting on my nerves and I don't know why its doing it.

Can anyone help?

i know about the right click maximise, but it doesn't even let me right click, just flashes orange, grrr

Have you tried alt + tab? Or try getting task manager up and then select the program and click switch to.

That works yeah but normally you can just press the thing you want to pop up and it does it, which is much easier. Seems to working fine now for some reason. Don't know what the dickens was wrong with it.

Have you thought of going to PC world and asking for assistance? I hear they are all microsoft certified and are often EXTEREMLY helpful and all know exactly what they are on about

i got same problem atm restart fixes it.. the windows do popup though they just stay in the same order from what they were before..

do a system restore to a time when it didnt do it, or reinstall windows, or maybe you have some type of virus or spyware, but probably just a corrupt windows file, once a system restore is done, should be fine again.

I did a search for viruses because I thought it might be that but the scanner didn't find anything. Although it hasn't been doing it again yet so I don't know whats going on.

1) cba to reinstall windows
2) Got Up todate virus scanner
3) very carful what i install
4) very clean system

+ i will record it with some program

Mine isn't doing it anymore so can't get a screenshot, but if it does start doing it again I'll get one.
