Just bought a Clio 172 a while ago. I wasn't looking for anything like this because I've always been more into japs and german cars, but you gotta try everything once.
First thing i did, was to take all the rubbish interior out. You can't fit anything in the back, so why bother having seats there anyways. I took also all the audio wiring and speakers out to save some weight and added carbon doorcards. The previous owner has done something to the engine and the car had a dynopaper with 182hp from the flywheel. I don't know exactly what's been done but there were receipts from flashing, cams and exhaust, also i think the rev limiter is higher because it goes well above 8200rpm in gear. The car has also some aftermarket headlights, koni adjustables and some heavy maintenance done to it. It's got only 43 000 miles on it, so hopefully it still has a lot of miles to cover.
First thing i noticed was the truck like driving position, i hate sitting so high in the car so as first aid, i took out the spacers under the seat frame. The seats are still way too high so i guess i gotta get buckets from somewhere. I bought also a new steering wheel to get it in better position. Next thing i will have to get some slicks for the summer and most probably rollcage & harness. Does anyone have clues how to get the steering wheel lower? It's already in maxed out position, but it'd be better to get it down more.
Now during the winter the car is serving as our grocery getter, but when the summer comes, i plan to take it out on track as well. Let's see how it'll hold on. Below some pics.
