Tax Disc Wire!

Just a quickie...

I was planning to order a ClioSport taxdisc holder, but when I looked at the original renault one, there is a small black wire running out of the A-pillar and into the bottom of the plastic holder, underneath the disc!

Anyone know what the hell it is so that i dont just get over inquisitive and just yank it out?! What am I sposed to do with it if I replace the holder with a metal one... Ive never seen a wire going into a taxdisc holder before so ima little concerned as no-one else has ever mentioned this!

yer thats usually if the tax disc is being used as an arieal - do you have a car hands free kit?? did you buy the car new?

Bought it used on a 51 plate. I dont have a hands free kit but did i read somewhere that some of the Clios came pre-wired for handsfree?

Im still a little bothered bu this wire!

its for the hands free kit, my dad had it on his 52 plate 172 when he bought it,

he told them he didnt want it, so they removed it (i dont know how though)
