TC, SERV and ABS light (only at startup?)

There are a million threads on this but they all seem to mention that the lights stay on during driving. Mine do not, they light up briefly when I start the car then disappear and I'm wondering what it is?

It started doing it after an interesting incident where I ended up turning the TC off just as ABS came in (I was driving in snow at the time), the car instantly screamed FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK at me and the dashboard lit up (serv, stop, the lot) but when I restarted none of the lights were present other than those I mention (serv, abs, tc). At a guess I'd say I'd confused the f**k outta a sensor?

I have yet to see if the ABS is still working. Will try this tomorrow.

Interesting as mine does this, once the car has fired up they stay on for around 3-4 seconds then go off.

Mines also does it. My thought is that when the car starts, the voltage drops enough to confuse the ecu. Once it's started it's fine. Only think this because when my alternator died these lights came on. Eventually the rest of them came on before it died.

I've no idea why they'd all come on when you switched it off though.

Your dash lights are supposed to come on when you turn the ignition on, then go out after a couple of seconds when you start the car.

They do, but these specific lights stay on when I actually start the car.
