TDC sensor

How much would Renault charge to replace this and the other bit with the loom on it? (I've got both the parts already).

Or would it be better going to an independent garage?

Anyone done it themselves?

Its quite easy to do, its only held on with 2 bolts. They are not much from Renault, £25 from memory. Have you tried cleaning it first?

I changed mine, depend how mechanically minded you are, it's not hard thing to change just lack of room is an issue, and getting the wires the right way round on the sensor, mine had faded to the same colour, great.

I've already got the parts I was just wondering how much Renault would charge on top of the £40 I paid for the part + extra wiring bit. I was worried about the lack of room as DrRollo has said, would I have to get it jacked up and go underneath it?

SHouldnt be too hard on that engine, might have to remove the airbox and move the odd coolant pipe to the side, you shouldnt have any trouble from the top.

Thanks guys, great help. :)

What about wwiring the existing loom to the part I have? I know it plugs in but Renault gave me this little extra bit with the loom on it, I know you said it might be hard if it's faded etc. but I'm unsure on how to connect it to the existing one without it just breaking or something!
