Tech help needed! - TV gone crazy

The weirdest things are happening to my TV.

I literally can't control it - either by the sky control, the actual TV control or even the buttons down the side of the TV!

It's changing volume itself, won't change channel when pressed on the remote, won't turn off unless physically unplugged at the wall. It's like someone is sitting on the controls - only their not, as they are both in my hand.

is it fucked? A quick search on google didn't reveal any help

I thought it might be but I can't see one that is stuck. I've taken all of the batteries out of all the controls and It still does it

My TV flickers once when the kitchen lights turned on, no idea why as its not on the same circuit?
Dads house, the kitchen TV flickers when the new microwave is turned on.

Could be worth a thought?
