when at school on the school computers, we used to use a msn/instant like program to talk to each other. now IT used to moan it mucked up the printers cos it worked over the printer network.

anyone know what im talking about???

cant remember what its called or where it is located. something like C then windows???

WinPopUp was a gui for the Net Send Command, Net Send is provided my the messenger service which in Windows XP SP2 is disabled. You can enable it through Control Panel...Administrative Tools...Services, but you'd have to do this at each machine. I don't recall whether the messenger service exists in Vista...

I remember using win popup at school, the teachers started getting arsey about it though and people got detentions for it lol.
