Temp Senders

Do all temp senders output a standard resistance?

Wanting to put an oil temp gauge in my 172 and a valver level/temp sender should replace the standard level sender (physically) just wondering how (or if) it'll work with an aftermarket gauge?

Nope some output in a none linear fashion I forget the proper name though..

Just do a check on how the sensor output is its easy enough to do.
