Temp Sensor - What are the signs of a broken one?

I've got the obvious...After getting up to running temp, short while laster display drops to two bars. When travelling at a constant it varies, up and down every 15 miles or so. Idle is variable when crawling for 10-15 mins

I do 70 Motorway/Dual Carriageway miles a day, currently have a lambda fault at Bank 1. I've got one on order - expected at Renault next week.

I wonder if these faults are linked. Is it worth changing the temp sensor?

sounds like a thermostat - it controls the flow of water to the rad, yours is jammed open which is overcooling the car. I THINK that all clios still run a mechanical thermostat.

Thermo = Temp Sensor right? IIRC I thought it had a mechanical one.
Where is this located in the bay?

If it was coolant temp sensor it would run like s**t when it warms up. I'd look at the thermo first as Mark said.
