don't go direct line, i'm regreting it already, miserable b******s not insuring mods for u25's

  172 Cup, AX trackbeast.
Tesco are fine and dandy until they decide to increase your premium the next year, for no apparent reason, by 30%!

Flux are good. Any additional cosmetic or non-power adding mods cost no extra.

  In between cars....
you tried bell/admiral/elephant/sheilas wheels all the same company under different names but very good for younger drivers and have been fine with me and mods

bell wont quote online ( it keeps crashing)
admiral/elephant are a bit more expensive and sheilas wheels wont cover me on a 172

I used to have a 200sx and insured with Sky Insurance (Jap insurance mainly), who did me a great deal, just re-new with them for £450 all mods (suspension, exhaust, air filter), Tesco's, privledge etc all wanted over 1k because of mods.

With insurance don't be scared of the little companys as these offer the best deals and service (I don't work for them). Also mention car-club membership as its worth 10% in most cases.

Also check out HIC (Herts insurnance company ) as they offer track day as part of the deal, for me they wanted £850 which is ok but the extra I could get cheaper on a day by day basis for track days. But how great would it be to go racing when ever you wanted knowing you were insured!!

^^ speak to Graham at Sky and tell him you are from Cliosport as the more people that do will help to put cliosport on the club list.

i have been with herts this year, did a cracking deal but because its renews that deal with it this timne, not sales they want £870

They always do that, sky wanted £666 then I phoned them told them I had a quote for £500 and they came back with £450. Its because they are brokers and the current under-writer gets first quote, so when you phone they search again and find a better deal.

i'm insured with Tesco and have declared having fitted a CAT back exhaust - no premium increase, although was quoted £70pa to de-cat (as it increases engine power). guess it depends on what you've done to the car
