Testdrive Later Today - What Do I Look Out For?

I'm test driving a "W" plate Clio 1.4 S later this afternoon for my g/f's brother as this could be a decent first car for him.

The car is from a garage and will have 1 years MOT at time of sale. It's done 67k miles but there is no service history docs in the car. Apparently a girl came to view it last week with a mechanic and he only picked up a fault with the gearlinkages needing adjusted (which has now been done).

Is there a way I can check it's history as I know the registration plate? (Maybe phoning Renault direct) Anything else I should be aware of?

Check both keys work and that there are no bad noises on full lock, especially when moving away.

My S was solid and I abused it from 24k to 90k!

Do a HPI check etc err nothing much realy cheakc for rust has the cambelts ben done service hsitory etc does it go and stop straight etc.
