That new car feeling...

Well not really a new car but just had all my engine mounts replaced (including a powerflex dogbone mount) and it really does feel like a new car... I bet the last mounts were the original and they were at the point (over the last few weeks) where is sounded like an AK47 in 1st-2nd taking it easy lol.
Had them replaced this morning so took it for a thrash over Holme Mosss tonight and it was stunning, it felt so much more focused it's ridiculous.... I get less torque steer and the gear lever finally stays still (ish), it responds quicker to throttle input...
I'm shocked at the difference it's made, completely brought a new lease of life to the car tbh. Other than the AK47 sounds over the last few weeks it's amazing how sloppy things had got without really thinking much of it (kind of!).

Had a few beers now so thought I'd share my thoughts lol...

I should be getting this done at NWPerformance on tuesday! Does it really make that much difference? I noticed my gear stick has a fair bit of play when in gear?!?!

It has to mine... Don't forget though mine were well and truly shagged... Over the last month or 6 the car just didn't feel quite right at times. Torque steering when it didn't before on my fave roads... but very subtle with the odd knock changing gear...
Feels so much better now, nothing other than a few more vibes on tickover but that just adds to the RS experience..

Had my gearbox mount replaced today and its improved the gearbox 10 fold, definitely recommend it. Probably getting the dogmount replaced very soon
