Some classics in this thread!
Anyone remember Turbo Esprit on the Spectrum. Was apparently a major influence behind the Grand Theft Auto series.
Days of Thunder on the spectrum!!!!

Also remember a Motorcross type game on the spectrum but can't find out what it was called![]()
I've never been into PC gaming, but the best driving game i've ever played on has to be Grand Prix Legends made in 97/98 for the PC.
Never played on a driving game since that can compare to this in terms of realism.

Shocking game! And of course, Top Gear Rally for N64!!
Epic. Used to play it for hours. Took me ages to get 100% on the challenges. Also worth mentioning F1 World Grand Prix for the N64.
First of the losersalso worth noting i set the second fastest lap of high speed ring in the UK in the playstation magazine, thankyou. i also pwn at battle on N64![]()
lol yes. mint little gameAlso there was a game in the arcades where you would go around a track that was a figure of 8. You could pick up nitro and stuff and I think they were 4x4's or something?? What was that called??
For me, Powerdrome on the Amiga was one of my faves....

TOCA was brilliant (at the time) and as others - far ahead of its rivals. Grand Prix 2 on the PC was sorted as well.
Gran Turismo 1 was much better than GT2, imo.
edit - how the hell did I forget Stunt Car Racer as well?! :S Another Geoff Crammond classic....
