The Trophy has a great rep. No arguing that. The Vee will always be popular with the chavs.

I'm talking about the fact that apparently a 182 is a better Renaultsport than an R27. Apart from the Trophy and Vee, the poll just indicates what people own. IMO.

Aye, as Fred and myself are massive chavs...

Notice that it's only people that haven't driven them that'll slate the Vee. People drive them, they either love them or 'get on with them but wouldn't have one', yet never has anyone slated them. Except wannabes.

Vee definetly spells chav mobile to be frank - Thats why i was and will be looking at 200's instead of the dated Vee if i change in the future.

I would like to have a go in one for a week though purely to see necks snapping everywhere i go.

Nearest Clio to perfect was a 197 with R27 spec plus Xenons and window tints

More subtle than the R27 IMO (due to lack of decals)

58 plate, so revised gear ratios.

If it had the 200 engine and steering rack it would have been spot on.

200 comes 2nd due to the front end styling for me!

As people will no doubt have said, surely the 200 will be the best to drive as it has had several years of experiments, in the form of earlier Clios.

But as a car that will become a legend, Vee Mk2.

Not driven the 200, however the R27 was very impressive on track. Far better than the 172/182 imo.

The williams like the V6 is an experience. I hated the williams, but love the v6...What ever floats your boat.

Revised gear ratios were on 57 plate - The new ratios were introduced mid October 2007.

I've had a FF 182, 197 and a Trophy (current car) and I have to say the most fun and fewest problems and been with the Trophy.

Isn't it funny how everybody reckons everyone else is wrong, might as well give them their opinions [LOL]
Tbh i think every rs has its good and bad points, and in all honesty if i had to get rid of the vee i would take any of the others, maybe bar the ph1 172 as i don't like the looks.
But for a mainstream manufacturer to do to the clio what renault did and put it on sale and not left it as a concept shows some real balls imo, obviously everyone will think i am biased because i own one but this was my opinion even when i had my 197cup, owning one has just reinforced this.

An hour left and I think it's fair to say that the Renault Clio Trophy is going to be voted Renault Sport of the decade with the V6mk1 coming last. Both I think are fair results.
