White with the Imperial Blue stripes for me.

I still don't know why I ever sold this :(. It had every option ticked from the factory, the build sheet was found under the carpet during an overhaul, only panel changed was the drivers door due to some t**t knocking into it.

60k miles too and it got sold to be used as a daily...

That did cross my mind too. lol

But I know how good some detailers and car photographers are,
so I thought i'd stick it in anyway.

Real or not it's an epic car so that's all that matters :).

What exactly is it actually? Can't figure what that front end is from..

From my understanding they are the concept pepperpot.

I wouldn't be holding my breath waiting on a set. He could break in to the heritage centre. That exact car will still be sitting with those wheels.

Just told him what you said, he just said ' oh ... ' flol

Ircc if they are concepts , his must of been steelies. No chance of them being mass produced

  Crutches ATM :)
I had a W reg black 2.0 zetec esp 3dr which had 70k on the clock and a wee bit of rust, car was absolutely epic. After having plenty of fast cars the focus was still awesome fun to drive with the optional 16s haha it ran for ever with very little love and took speed bumps like no over car. It's a real shame the st170 didn't have more poke as that would be one of the all time greats

They will have had a few sets. Ford are a funny company that way. The Frp had hundreds of concept/prototype parts extra.

My dad's seen them moving most of that around as he works near by (still at Fords) I wanna go in there!!

They are steel wheels, that ring round the edge comes off. I'm 99% certain that the 'pepper pot' wheels were an optional extra back in the day, but most cars were specced with them, those who didn't spec them got their XR2 on the wheels you're talking about.

Always had Fords myself:

First car was a Mk2 XR2, ended up with 135hp engine with twin 40 dcoe webers.

(whale tail on a mk2 was a good idea at the time, with hindsight it looked terrible)

replaced the Fiesta after 2 years with an early 4x4 Sapphire that had a bare shell rebuild:

Owned that for 8 years, then moved on to:

Had the Escort 7 1/2 years now, only has engine cosmetic changes which all can be put back to standard, it's a very late car from the end of the production run in 1995.

Ah Mr B18 - I've seen a few of your cars before, I can't remember where though, possibly in magazines or something.

Your Escort is lovely!! Really nice! I used to see a standard white N reg one driven by a woman when I was at school, I still remember the reg, N950 SAX.
