not really got any other photos
been off the road for 12 months after eating 3 XE's , being recomissioned into a Road rally spec car (as previous) with quite a bit of a tidy up

shell had a good referb a couple of years ago (not by me)

main spec

2.0l pinto
4 speed quaife pro straight cut/close ratio box
Quaife LSD and 5:1 Cwp
Princess four pots 285mm discs front/xr31 calipers and vented discs rear/bias pedal box
Bilstiens all round front compression struts/not linked but tramp bars and panard rod

basic hopefully reliable spec nothing groud breaking just a good handling sideways package that should be affordable if I can keep it at this level

all the normal rally prep stuff Full cage / buckets 4" harnesses etc etc got a few pics of my old rally mk2's will get a few up on here, I also do all the alloy fab for all my cars fuel tanks etc etc

Unfortunately now saving for a house so just got the Clio 182 & Sierra until a house is bought then going back to some big power turbo car of some description

Dont have the sierra anymore as I did a deal on the orange escort for it

was a cracking car but loosing money way to quickley as it cost 5 k to build ...

Ford still have that Escort Cos, it's in their heritage centre. I love the black three door, I've got pics of it on my laptop.

I just found out the late Fiesta RSTs could be had in Silver? Proper rare?
 
I used to know a girl named Lara who had a similar Capri to the one Dave last posted but I'm sure hers was a D reg. It was max power featured iirc.

(if I ever manage to keep hold of £1500 for more than a week)
 


Loved that Fiesta.... Was you the one that stripped it, and repainted inside... Its was my good friend Steve's... Was looking standard when he bought it.. He had a fit when he found it was used round Combe in the rain..... HA HA...

She was the gf of my landlady's partner's son. It came into our workshop plenty of times and went through a few stages. I remember we was spraying the rear of it matt black and practically chocking to death!
 
I'd like to know what the old bill had to say about the spikes on the wings,
they go mental if you have jagged bodywork let alone spikes for impaling people. lol

I'd live another mk1 XR2. Black or Silver again for me I think :) The black one I had before was a bit of a nail tbh, but the silver one was nice! :)

Did you notice the decal missing from the rear quarter panel?
 
So it is mate I actually posted from my phone, couldn't really see the picture.

I'd have a mk2 over the Mk1. But I also fancy a Silver XR2i. My friend had one that needed welding underside, so sold it for £500 profit... he regrets it everyday. It was a K reg and utterly immaculate. On tickover it sounded new!

They are yeah, iirc only 50 of them made. Late J & some on a K plate. I went to look at one (K51 NTR) years ago, it was proper rusty & was owned by a chav. I walked away as it had a hard life :(

I agree about the Morette comment later on, they don't look nice on it.

A Silver 2i will be a later one mate, a 16v version that's when they put cats on them.

Did you seem my post #437 ? I was referring to Silver FRST's there mate.

Good luck mate! I reckon less than 20 are still alive now!

Also, some normal colours came on late reg plates, there were some red K plate cars around too.
