Just had a look through this thread and some top picks.
I took this last week when I was in Portsmouth with my HTC phone and thought it came out very well (for me).
No idea why the colours are like they are as I'm not into photography at all (apart from the fact it's not the best cam phone). This is a shot I took a second before it which would have been good if I got it all in shot lol.
I actually really like the first one of those! Like how the background feels kinda faded and the people are silhouetted. Strange about the colour cast like you say though.
i got my camera yesterday and what with the weather and trying to finish an open uni course i've not had a lot of time to play with it. these are my 2 fav ones so far.
I like the river of lights affects on M'Ways. I have a D40, and when i put slow shutter speed on its just comes out with a very white picture. What settings would you recommend for light effects?
Be aware of the ISO as well mate. Make sure its kept at a low number. And check your exposure as well. As for shutter speed like Luke said, its around 5-10seconds depending on how dark the place is.
I like the first one, but the second is out of focus...:rasp:
Jason, I dont have a nikon but i assume its the same as canon, you need to adjust the aperture to suit the exposure, long exposure with a wide aperture will result in white...
