Got this on the way from Japan....Super excited....
The boost want is strong with me too!I loved getting cars to look at through auction.
I might sell the Teg and import something for that buzz, LOL!
It was with me, best thing I ever did. [emoji106]The boost want is strong with me too!
I could sell the wheels I've not even put on yet and supercharge the teg, I imagine that would be an utter giggle. But, fwd still. It was with me, best thing I ever did. [emoji106]
@Darren S Yep I moved out to Calgary from London/Essex area.Is it possible to do multiple LIKES on here?!
Do you live over in Calgary then? With ^^^^ this ^^^^ on the way? Good god.... The amount of roads over there that I'd revisit with an Evo. Granted, there are long stretches of straight'ish stuff - but other sections are epic.
AWD capability in a Rocky Mountain backdrop? Yes please!
Yes mate, I waited just under 3 months for mine. [emoji20]@Darren S Yep I moved out to Calgary from London/Essex area.
It is getting the Canadian equivalently of a MOT today so might have my hands on it this evening. Some of the mountain roads will be very good fun.
Similar to the USA's 25 year importation rule Canada has a 15 year rule.
@Phase1sr - the whole auction process is great fun from Japan, the wait for the car is the worst!
This will be my second Jap auction purchase, I had this Legacy GTB E-Tune for about 8 months.
I was just about to post that. I suspect you'll see more and more now they're 15 years old. All we tend to ship to Canada is Land Rover 90's! lolSimilar to the USA's 25 year importation rule Canada has a 15 year rule.
Waaaaa. 😂I'm officially on the auctions. FFS.
I was supposed to be buying a house.
Chasers.
The Jap auctions are littered with many many cool/interesting cars. It's hard not to be tempted the whole time.Chasers.

But if someone knows where my old 172 PH1 is, i'd like to import that to Calgary!
Probably! I loved my old 172, It would probably be one of the only clios in Canada.Has the clean Canadian air made you high? 😂

To sum up the GTB, I'd say they are like a poor mans RS6. Importing one is very cheap (i paid about 2750 pounds landed in Vancouver)I've always thought it would make a good dog carrier and general work horse, what was is like to live with in terms of mpg, maintenance etc, are they quick?
I'd say mid 20's as a combined figure would be realistic. Nudging 30 when cruising.A poor man's RS6 sounds good to me, i've only looked at them as an alternative to Impreza Wagons as they're a lot cheaper for a good one and they come with a lot more power as standard, what mpg did they get, low 30's?
That's a good point, very true, petrol price move around like crazy here but at the moment it's 52p a liter but has been as low as 45p this year.Yeah that's going to be expensive in the UK, I imagine fuel is a hell of a lot cheaper in Canada?
Super premium here (99ish RON) would translate to 65p a litre. UK prices for petrol are eye-watering in comparison!£1.40 a litre for super unleaded (98ron)
$8.27 (US) a gallon.
Nice one! I was first out there for nearly three months back in the summer of '95. The whole place really struck a chord with me - so much so that I've been back several times since.@Darren S Yep I moved out to Calgary from London/Essex area.
