Thought I would post up how im finding valver ownership.

I have had the valver for a bit over a month now... and absolutely love it!

Performance is awesome, attracts alot of admiring glances, I love everything about this car!

Its great being able to leave big Business cars standing when I want to! lol

The look on peoples faces when they see this lil clio go! Brilliant! Had a tussle with my bro in laws 2.0 TDi A3, He was very suprised how quick the clio was.

Its 100% original and the exhaust and engine noise is Superb.. I dont really boot it around at all, but its lovely to drive around B roads etc. WOW.

All you valver owners obviously know all this, but thought id post up my experiences of the 16v so far. Wouldnt swap it for the world (and thats a nice feeling!)

I had a valver before the 182 and apart from all the problems i had with it, it was a truely amazing motor, i would love to have another go in one!!!!!!

Your right, its an amazing car!

I have just taken my dads friend who owns an 04 plate BMW 330 CI for a spin in the valver and he loved it! lol

damn right its an amazing car mate ive had mine for a month now, its been off the road longer than its been on after the engine blew...but i still love it to bits! i get excited everytime i get in it! it certainly surprises a few people

Si - know the feeling mate, it feels great hopping in the valver and taking it for a spin. You know its a good car when you park up and cant help looking back at it! lol

Even though I piled £Ks into my Valver, I loved it to bits. Awesome car. Was really really sad to see it go.

For all the probs its plus points far out weighed anything bad.

She is gone now

Nah valvers are very fun cars and always seem to get looks. I even had a AA man say to me the other day, I love them cars!

Guaranteed to bring a smile to your face!

Anyway tom, whens the next meet? Gotta try and get one sorted whilst my valver works!

Yeah deffo up for a meet soon. The Christmas one sounds good but we need a bit more interest I think. Still a while yet though. Im up for another meet before that. We should try and gage some interest for maybe Late Oct early Nov? What u think?

Youve had a bit of a mare before meets havnt you!

What sort of difference has the chip made?

It has deffo made a difference but im not sure how much quicker its made it. She just seems to rev up so much smoother and the raised limiter is nice. Means you can change at 7 with out the worry of it bouncing!
The thing is that i now have my filter, chip, exhaust and decat all fitted and where i did it in a short ammunt of time its hard to gauge just what each did. But all together i feel its made a brilliant improvment. The easiest way to notice it is when you have people in the car. it pulls so much harder 3 up than it used to.

When we meet ill let you take it for a spin if you want and then you can tell me if my mods have been worth it!

Ive had mine 4 years now and would not swap it for the world.

95M on 92,000miles.

Gonna tidy it back up next spring get it looking as it should again !

Yeah i have gone from a 1.2 (8v) to the valver and its quite a difference!!!

Yeah she was up forsale not too long ago but i replaced the gearbox and decided to keep her for a while longer. Then i did a few mods to her like chip, filter, decat... As for miles, shes only been to the moon and back once. (100K)
I think im gunna sell it early next year now for around 2.3k.

Dodson - Its ALL about the valver - No offence to any new 1.2 clio owners.. but the valver is so much more special and rare. LikeTom16v said.. the wings and the bonnet all make it a brilliant looking car!

Im 19 and pay £850 fully comp but thats through my dads business. The car has always seemed to be quick and have been told this by a couple of Renault Garages but with the mods she is quicker. I only have simple mods like filter, exhaust, decat and Hillpower chip but all these have deffo seemed to have helped and having the limiter raised to 7.5k is helpfull. As for top end, ive had 142 showing on the clock but that was before my chip and decat. Havent tried again. Im not one for going over 100 really. 0-100 more fun and she doesnt do too bad!

Really needing one more n more now,i get people tryin to race me all the time at the mo and i just sit there shaking my head thinkin just wait,got ur number.....lol lol,there is a lad in 106gti always goes past me on morning looking at my car tring to race me cos its kitted up and that,he is my first targetill embarres him first chance in the valver!!!

Tom - Yeah would love some turinis mate but im gunna wait until i see some second hand.

I was planning to paint my phase 2s black just so i had some sl*g 15s cus 17s slow you down a fair old bit but it rained all weekend so didnt really get a chance!

Dodson - lol! Cheers mate, Im really lucky to have a mint one thats been really well looked after. I plan to keep it the way it is too!

I have never pulled up alongside anything i fancy taking on, but when im in my 1.2, i see VTSs, VTRs, 106 gtis and all sorts!! just the way it goes.

I know what u mean about the "just wait" comment when chavs try and race you. I love having something quick now.

Toms valver is silly nice if you ask me. Gunna put mine to shame when we meet! and i know what you mean by the above! Whenever im not in my car like my bros golf i see VTSs, GTis. When im in mine i dont see much! lol

replied mate,yeh i hope that dont happen to me,got couple of scores to settle,there again my mates hav got fast cars,one of em just got 106 gti was all cocky and i said wait till i get valver and he just went all quiet!! thought he would argue and say had no chance but he literallly stopped talking!!!
