Yeah, they’ve all been pretty reliable to be be fair.
This was the fastest one though - I’m guessing that could also be a reason it shat itself!
Are these a tappet over bucket or is that's what's left of the bucket? 😂

Are you over revving it jim?
If so close up the clearances to 0.25mm with thicker shims,
or just tack weld them to the bucket if you want to go full pikey.

Standard they are 0.40mm clearance, take them down to 0.25mm if you're ASBO'ing

Slap it back in and set the valves again, should be rate Jim😂 @bashracing if you want mega pikey he could use mastic, JB weld or loctite to stick the tappets and buckets together😂😂
So, after getting the odd £500 offer I’ve decided to try and fix the car. I’ve ordered a head off eBay and will then be getting it skimmed and all that shizzle and hopefully get the thing back on the road in the next couple of months.
I think you did what I usually do
1. Car breaks
2. Fix/break car and get fucked off with it
3. Think about selling/list it for sale
4. Have something to eat, maybe a de-frustration w**k and a chill out
5. Realise its a decent car and you should just throw money at it
6. Repeat steps 1-5 as many times as you like

No, he gave me £400 for it. If I could’ve put it on the 740 I’d of kept it but I couldn’t.
