With iOS I could log into PayPal / Amex etc with my finger.
Android wants me to remember all these passwords etc for apps.

Is there a way round it?

That's a device thing, not an OS thing. Mine always asks me if I want to remember passwords for certain sites

My PayPal uses fingerprint on the 6p. Loads of apps do. It's an app thing/phone thing. Not an os thing

Hmmm you may be stuck with the apps if they don't remember your login details

It'll remember them for auto login in and then once you're in the app you can register finger print. All my apps like that have my fingerprint.

02 prices are ridiculous. Cheapest is 1gb data (LOL), unlimited text and calls, £200 upfront £47 pet month.

The 10gb data is £150 upfront and £58 pm.

Think it's supposed to be £50 but I now get 25% off. Cost me nothing for the phone but was meant to be £100.

I worked out really cheap but I know it's an expensive phone! It's on another level!

Oh and for the battery doubters. I know mkbhd mentioned it yesterday in his review. Out the box with everything running away then yeah 4 hours probably sot.

I like to mess around. A bit like a laptop. You don't have 25 different things starting on start up do you? So why on your phone? Things like Facebook etc that ruin battery life aren't going to help by running constantly.

I do everything I want on it and have the screen at max Res but auto brightness. I filmed and photos a lot at work yesterday and a lot of Instagram and browser Facebook. Also send anywhere I used all day to send desktop files etc and I got this...

22% left! That's insane. It's got better and better over the week.

I have wireless charge at work anyway but hadn't used it yet just to see what my sot was.

The Note. Even just for 6gb of ram and 64gb as standard. The amount of memory it remembers is mental! I've been testing it for days.

It's a powerhouse! I've used my partners S8+ on and off since launch day. On looks alone this thing is mental!

I find it all depends on how it was linked in the first place?
Whenever my iphone mate sends me eBay links, they always open in the browser. Yet if they're linked on here they open in the app.

Regardless, if it opens in the browser, it always says at the top "view in app" or something along those lines

I've changed to Chrome and Amazon.com opens in the app but. Co. UK doesn't.

Liked the phone so far but this is really annoying me.

Go to the app menu and find Chrome. Clear defaults in the bottom. I would also uninstall the Amazon app and re install.

Next time you get an Amazon link in the chrome browser it should pop up with he option for chrome or Amazon app.

Try the above. Also disable or uninstall other browsers like the Samsung one. I hide or uninstall or disable all the s**t!

That's why my phone lasts! You shouldn't have to but f**k leaving it to Samsung!

Flol!!!! You're a mong! That's why it won't open! Go to the app both browser and amazon via settings. Scroll to the bottom and clear defaults.

The app part is where you see force stop etc.

Mobiles.co.uk are offering the free vr headset with the s8 again (on o2) and they've dropped the upfront to £75, so it's £723 total now for 3gb and unlimited texts & calls, also potential £26 from top cashback bringing it below £700 in total. Pretty much like buying an s8 with vr headset on interest free credit over 2 years, with free phone contract.

Pretty sure the majority of smartphone users massively over estimate the amount of mobile data they actually use. Networks are happy to over-sell the data allowances or do massive promos with 123gb a day limits, knowing all full well that the vast majority wont get anywhere near that limit.

It's just the past days of shock data bills, making people default to "I MUST have 400gb a month!"

I’m seriously fed up with iPhones. Several reasons but I’m not going into it here.

So I’m thinking about swapping to an S8

I know a few people have moved from iOS to android on CS so;

How easy is it to swap across?

Can I restore an iOS back up on to an android phone?

Forgive my ignorance as I’ve had iPhones since the 3GS

Yeah you can restore from an iPhone backup which helps transfer some apps and data over like notes etc.

The change for me was easy as I wasn't really locked up in the eco system too much seen as I used Gmail and Chrome on my iPhone. The biggest thing was getting all my iCloud images transferred over to Google photos in original quality.

The change did take a bit of getting used to as all my smart phones prior to this were apple but I'm glad I made the jump.

Worth noting too that some iOS apps aren't available on Google play which is probably obvious but I did overlook that fact but now found alternatives that work just as well or better.
