Has wireless charging always been this bad? My only experience with it so far has been with a wireless charging mount I have in the car to keep the battery topped up on long journeys while streaming music and using the sat nav, but I recently purchased one to put on my desk and it's nowhere near as good as I was hoping.
I downloaded the Ampere app to see why it was so slow and it turns out that even though my phone apparently supports 15W fast wireless charging, it only draws 6W from the charger. If I plug my phone into a 10W wired charger it draws 7.5W, meaning even an ancient 10W wall charger is 25% faster than the most powerful wireless charger my phone can use. I've tested the wireless pad with every charger I own (10W, 25W, and 45W) and all of them result in my phone drawing exactly 6W.
Genuinely considering returning the wireless charger and just getting one of those magnetic cable things to prevent my charging port wearing out.
