Anyone who's thinking of getting a 4090...it's massive, just fits in my Phantek P500 with a front radiator on.

There will be a lot more room when it's watercooled as it's the fans and shroud that take up the space.
Yup I had to buy a bigger case. It's a beast, but manages over 230fps in Warzone!

I need to put a new PC together, it is time now

The bits I bought off @Silent_Scone in 2017 have done the job, but I really need an upgrade now haha

i7 6850k (Broadwell-E, which is 6th gen? 13th is about to be released :ROFLMAO: ) and a 1070 are definitely starting to creak

Guess I'm better off waiting a few weeks for Raptor Lake to release properly before I buy anything.. dunno when the next lot of 4XXX cards are supposed to be dropping. I'll probably go 3080 Ti/3090/3090 Ti depending on what I can find for a half decent price

Still have my Acer Predator X34a, which I'm pretty sure is also about 5 years old now. Still fine, but it'll get replaced by something 4K as I'm surprised I've lasted so long with an ultrawide given how little of the screen I actually use and now much the black bars annoy me

Probably have ~2.5k to spend not including what I'll no doubt spunk on a new monitor. Anyone got an example of a decent looking spec for the money? I'm so out of the loop its unreal

What’s it for? Gaming or video editing / graphics work etc?

Just realised my OS drive is on an SSD that I bought in 2014 🤣

Just the read stats from newer stuff is mental, 4-5 times faster. My PC boots like its got a HDD in compared to my shiny new work laptop

I was contemplating getting someone else to do it but I think 8 year old me would be ashamed as to what I'd become

1600W PSU just in case? Just in case what exactly? You want to run 3 x 4090 in SLI? 🤣🤣🤣

Including a half decent NVME SSD that's still a 3k machine.. probably overkill for what I need too haha

I put this together looking in the back of CustomPC mag and looking at the internet 🤣

Hopefully this works..

As @N0ddie suggested, for the bit extra it's definitely worth getting the 3090ti.

Horrible software that is. I done what I needed and uninstalled it straight after.
Yeh it's awful, but I haven't got any RGB showing on my gpu yet :(

Managed to find the panel installer software and got a different graphic showing now, but it's such a let down that there's no RGB.
