I have no shame 😊Oh really :tonguewink:
Shut up, I want it back soon yeah? lolAbsolutely LOVING the Intel i7-6900K CPU - she's a beauty! I'm currently working on a complex Adobe After Effects video sequence that took 6.5 hours to render on my MacBook Pro. I decided to download the Windows version of Adobe After Effects instead and loaded the project into that... boom, down to just over an hour
Sorry, no can do... :tonguewink: I'm planning on sticking with this CPU for quite some time.Shut up, I want it back soon yeah? lol
EDIT: I can't get Mem TweakIt to work 😧
It's not a gaming desk... The PC is gone now and it's where we can work from homeSharing your gaming desk with your mum????
I am running a mild overclock but nothing too exotic. I would have to hire your services for a weekend so you could come over and tweak it for melol Andy, do you know what's funny about that score? Obviously mine is a 6850K so at a disadvantage in Blender, but AMD showed a demo of Ryzen's 8c/16t varient scoring 36 seconds, claiming it was faster than 6900K fractionally (at stock).
Doesn't look that way from here
I noticed it said 3.9 afterward!. I can tell you vaguely what that CPU will do but it depends on cooling lol. 4.3Ghz should be around 1.28v. (Set VCCIN (input) to 1.93vI am running a mild overclock but nothing too exotic. I would have to hire your services for a weekend so you could come over and tweak it for me :tongueout:
Cheers - I'll take a look. I just need to ensure that the software can transfer safely to NVMe from SATAI've used Easus Disk Copy in the past and had no problems with it. Made an exact copy of my boot drive onto a new one and it ran fine on the new drive.
This is the one http://www.easeus.com/disk-copy/index.htm
Please note - Due to 8Pack work commitments and build complexity, the minimum lead time for these systems is 42 working days. We will always endevour to meet this deadline but at busy times delays may occur. We will keep you informed of the system build progress.
For £24k I'd be expecting it to be delivered same day with a reach around while you sign for it.
You're missing the point guys... free delivery! FREE DELIVERY! FLOL! :tongueclosed:What an amazing waste of money!
have a look into imagex - it's microsofts tool for this.possible Recommendations for cloning / migration software?
I currently run a Samsung 850 Pro SSD as my boot / OS / C: drive. However, I want to transfer that over to my new Samsung M2 NVMe SSD and then make this my new boot drive. I was looking at using Symantec Ghost but the cost is stupid (it's no longer possible to buy a single licence). I've noticed the likes of solutions from Paragon and Acronis and was wondering if anyone had a) done this sort of hard drive transfer and b) what software was used.
Cheers
No buddy - the system ran flawlessly from the first day to the last that I owned it! I routinely had multiple phones and tablets connecting to/from the wifi without issue. I have to admit I've never heard of this issue before - it's a strange one!!! What happens if you disable the AI Suite software? Does it still switch off?Got a bizarre issue with my PC currently. Every time my phone connects to the wifi in my house, my PC turns itself on 😂 I'm assuming it's a BIOS setting or something I've missed but I currently have 'wake on LAN' turned off and can't work out what else could be causing it.
It's an ASUS Z87 Deluxe/Dual mobo and I've got all the AI Suite software etc installed with it.
@SharkyUK did you ever come across this when you had this setup?
That's a pretty cool issue to have. Basically your PC turns itself on when you get home for you.Got a bizarre issue with my PC currently. It's turning the PC on after I have shut it down mate, not the other way about. Runs absolutely perfect when it's started. Not sure if you got mixed up there or that's a typo.No buddy - the system ran flawlessly from the first day to the last that I owned it! It tends to be more a case of it turning itself on at half 5 in the morning as my phone reconnects to wifi after I unlock it to turn off my alarm, and I absolutely shite myself as I'm still half asleep and not sure what's happening lol! That's a pretty cool issue to have. You should still be able to get it activated again, may just need to call themAfter which parts of the PC are replaced would one have to purchase a new Windows license? Motherboard I assume?
Ah - sorry mate, I misread your post initially. Even so I have no idea how / why that would be happening. I know there are apps that you can use to wake up your PC automatically when your mobile connects to your home wi-fi but they have to be configured and setup beforehand, something I'm assuming you haven't done! I don't know what to suggest at the moment...It's turning the PC on after I have shut it down mate, not the other way about. Runs absolutely perfect when it's started. Just looked that up, what a stunner. Finally going to bite the bullet, I think, after mo this of procrastinating and actually get myself a machine again.
Really tempted by an nCase M1 itx build.
